The Gemini Dancers based in Earlsfield, were formed in 1992 and now has over 150 students aged from 4 years to adult. Pupils can participate in ballet, jazz, modern dance and tap classes. Additional private ballet and tap exam lessons are also available.
The Gemini Dancers regularly entertain at local schools and church fetes. Several of the Gemini pupils have appeared at the Epsom Playhouse, Ewell in pantomime with Spillers Productions.
Gemini Dancers have appeared, on several occasions with Mardi Gras Promotions at Her Majesty’s Theatre, in 2003 at The Royal Albert Hall, and in 2015 at the Indigo Rock Theatre, O2.
The highlight for all of our dancers is the charity biannual show. This is held over one weekend in a local theatre when the dancers perform to audiences in excess of 450.
In the show we perform a variety of dances, songs and comedy routines and dancers of all ages are encouraged to participate! Through our shows we have raised thousands of pounds for local charities. (DVDs and videos of past shows are available to borrow).
An end of term concert is held the following year.
Gemini classes are designed to encourage confidence in children and it is important that Gemini pupils get an all round theatrical experience but more importantly to have fun whilst learning to dance and perform!
Past pupils have gone on to work in television, theatre, cruises, university and other further dance & theatre programs.
Several of the Gemini ballet pupils after successfully auditioning have danced with the following children’s ballet companies:
Please feel free to browse through our website for information on classes and times and images of our pupils are available in the gallery.
